Budget bus has a few stops left

The City’s Budget Bus has a few more stops on its tour of the streets of Red Deer. Residents have been urged to stop by the bus, parked in various locations around the city and learn about the services The City provides.

Residents who stop by the bus also have eh opportunity to weigh in on how much those services cost as part of the capital budget. The 2016 capital budget is $161 million and focuses on balancing vision and economic reality. “You can ask questions, learn all about how they are budgeted, and then take a turn telling us where you would spend more or less,” says Tara Shand, with the City of Red Deer. “The feedback received from the public will help determine the 2017 operating and capital budgets for The City, and ultimately the future of Red Deer.”

The Budget Bus will be parked at next week at: Olymel - June 23, 2:30 P.M. – 3 P.M. Red Deer Farmers Market – June 25. For a complete list of where the Budget Bus will be stopping or to complete the online survey, please visit www.reddeer.ca/budget.
